My Candy Eyes UPDATE~ (And Honeycolor too!)

So it's been exactly a month from when I ordered from mycandyeyes.com. Um... Yeah it's also been a week since I opened up the dispute. Paypal's just waiting for their input, but they don't seem to be responding to it. My status still says processing though. Good work mycandyeyes! -hints heavy sarcasm-

And with honeycolor, they haven't replied to any of my emails, BUT, they actually have sent me an email this morning, confirming that they shipped my lenses out 3 days ago, and that they should be arriving on the 4th of June! So, that super fast processing, considering the fact that I ordered lenses with prescription =D

  1. I filed a Paypal dispute as well. Maybe we can get together as a group and let Paypal know these aren't isolated incidents. Maybe they will put more pressure on MCE.

    Sure, that sounds good. Do you know anyone else with the same problem? Paypal has actually given MCE 2 more days until the date ends. So after that, I'm hoping Paypal will look at my case and just give me a refund. But I still think it's a good idea to notify them that this seller is definitely untrustworthy and try to shut them down.

  5. if you google "mycandyeyes scam" so many recent comments and blogs come up. I definitely don't think it's just us. I'm not sure what to do/how to organize everyone though. My paypal dispute allows MCE to respond until the end of the week. But Idk what the review process will be like. I'm hoping the fact that they haven't shipped the products and haven't responded are enough.

  6. Yep, I did that after I ordered from them and found Dizzy's page. And about 70 comments complaining about their service, but that was a while ago. So there's us three...there were two more people on Yahoo Answers but I can't get in contact with them. Paypal should notice something is up with MCE though because the other two filed disputes as well. Let's just see what happens... They have until tomorrow for me.

  7. If you scroll to the bottom there are many comments from people who are having this experience this month (May 2011) and I also found two recent Youtube reviews.

    Let's keep in touch and see how your Paypal review goes. If it goes smoothly, then we won't have to worry :) I've never had to use the Paypal dispute thing before, so I'm a little nervous about how everything will turn out.

  8. Ah okay. They weren't there last time I checked. I'm pretty sure Paypal would chuck some money back into my account, but that still wasn't a good experience, so I like your idea of alerting paypal as a group thing. I'll post a comment on Dizzy's blog telling anyone interested to email me? o.O The Paypal dispute thing's pretty smooth. It's just I used it once before and the other party responded..this time they're not though. D: I'll be writing about the paypal thing soon :)

    it has been over around a month and my status is still processing so i recently filed a dispute. i hope paypal gets my money back and shuts the site down.

  10. Yep, something's definitely wrong with MCE. I hope you get everything resolved though...paypal will get your money back, don't worry (: You just have to make it a claim and wait for them to respond..which they won't. Then paypal will just take back your money for you :)

I've ordered prescription lenses from mycandyeyes last month (may 9th) and its honestly been a month till now and I still have not received my order nor have the site responded back to any of my e-mails regarding my order. On the site it keeps saying processing and they already charged my credit card $35.98 and still no contacts... I don't know what to do. Everyone keeps saying do a dispute on paypal? But I am truly not familiar on how paypal works or how to file a dispute towards mycandyeyes considering I used my american express card. I feel like this site is a fraud and should be immediately investiaged and shut down by authorities. I really want my money back since I feel like I got scammed badly. It's my first time ordering online with my credit card and now I'm scared to ever do it again because of mycandyeyes. I live in the U.S and its funny how they apparently stopped shipping here... can anyone help me? And I've recently found out they have disabled their mycandyeyes@gmail.com account.

    Heh..I don't think anyone's gotten their orders from the last 2 or 3 months to be honest. Paypal dispute is simple enough to figure out. Once you file a dispute, you sit back and basically send an email to the seller via Paypal. Mycandyeyes will not respond to this so escalate this to a claim. Paypal will then ask Mycandyeyes for information, which they will not respond to. Once the due date is up, all Paypal does is return your money.
    Yeah..I don't know why it's still up there, because there are people that are not aware of the situation. You did get scammed, we all did. They won't even bother replying to your emails, so just file a dispute. Hopefully paypal will notice the number of disputes going on. A good place to buy is honeycolor.com. I got my lenses from there and the processing + shipping time is quite short. Good luck with the dispute, update us on how it goes :)

    But the thing is... Is it possible to open a dispute when I paid with a temporary account of Paypal? Does it mean I need to create a Paypal account to be refund ?

  15. Whoa I was about to order from MCE when I read this. I ordered from honeycolor a month ago, emailed them a few times, wrote on their facebook page and still nada. No lenses. They even deleted my wall post.

  16. Oh... Sorry to hear that. ._____. I've heard some hit and miss things about Honeycolor before, but I was happy with my order. I suppose if you paid through paypal, you could go through the whole dispute process again.

  17. I don't have experience buying from MCE but I have had a bad experience with honeycolor. Pretty similar to this problem.

    They didn't ship out my lenses and only answered my emails up to a certain point. After a while they just ignored me so I had to file a paypal dispute with honeycolor. Got back about $50... Paypal is a mess sometimes but without them it'd be way harder to get that money back.
